The first container arrived to Yangon port
We are very pleased to inform that the first container carrying 10 tons of clothes for cyclone victims has made a successful voyage and arrived to Yangon Port yesterday, 23rd July 2008. Our counterpart, Myanmar Geosciences Society (MGS), has received the official notification letter from the shipping company and is now preparing to go through the port clearence procedure. It is expected to finish in a few days and after securing the container in hand, MGS will finalize the detailed plan of donation. Meanwhile, our major japanese donors are also planning a trip to Yangon to join and see the distributions at hard hit area. The second container, double the size of the first, with the same content is awaiting the paper works to be done at both sides and will be ship out shortly.

ミャンマーサイクロン被害復興支援2008 年7 月報告書

日本全国古着寄付者様へ、
いつも大変御世話になっております。ご報告遅れまして申し訳ありませんでした。皆様の御協力及び呼びかけで日本全国から、たくさんの古着約（１４Ton）を集めることができました。学生さんたちもそんなにたくさんの古着を集められるとは思ってもなかったので驚きと共に喜んでいます。埼玉大学生だけではなく東京大学のミャンマー留学生たちも応援しに来てくれました。大変でしたが、楽しくも出来ました。政界平和、社会貢献などまではできなかったですが、皆様から人間らしく人を見る、人間らしく人を助けるという貴重なことを体験し学びました。皆様が助けてくれたお陰で私達はどんなに幸せなのか分かりません。本当に～ありがとうございました。また、6 月23 日には皆様の御協力を頂、たくさんの古着を埼玉大学国際交流会館から運び出すことができました。本当にありがとうございました。8Ton 程度運びました。残り６Ton を来7 月中にて発送する予定です。１４Ton の寄付者全員の名簿を作成するのは時間が必要と思います、学生皆と力をあわせて早いうちに発表できるように努力致しますのでご理解頂けます様宜しくお願い申上げます。
収集出来た古着： 約14Ton, コンテナ1 台（２２Feet）＝１0Ton 程度入ります ので１台分以上集められたと思います。そして共栄繊維（株式会社）様からの寄付古着とあわせますと約コンテナ2 台分はあると思います。これからも共栄繊維様の御協力を得て宛に古着を集める予定ですのでコンテナ一台分集まり次第出荷させて頂く予定。
寄付金： 6 月20 日時点100 万円を越えました。
積み込み作業：そして先週の金曜日6 月27 日9：00 時ごろ共栄様のご協力を得てコンテナに圧縮したベールの積み込み作業を行いますので埼玉大学からミャンマー学生3 名程参加しました。
出港日：： 7 月2 日に日本から出港。
今後の予定： 今後は文房具の寄付をお願いしたと思います。災害地域では家や学校を失われた子供達がたくさんおりますのでその子供たちの勉強のために、途中で使用必要がなくなった又は古くて使い済みのものでも構いませんので、その文房具をミャンマーの子供達の勉強のために送りたいと思います。また皆様

Thank you indeed for your support
During one month period of charity clothes collection for Nargis Cyclone victims, we have faced many challenges and difficulties at every stage that we have passed through. Accordingly, our focus and priority had to move from one sector to another as the activity progressed. The shortage of temporary storage area has been our primary concern while in collection. But after the time opened for donation, our major concern was changed to load a massive numbers of boxes of various sizes on the trucks for the shipment. The amount we received during the one month period was far more beyond our expectation, which is estimated to be more than 30 tons, indicating that love and thoughts of societies thousands of miles apart are with Myanmar Cyclone Victims. As a result, simply the vacant rooms in International house could not accommodate all and the rest has to be dumped in the spaces under the staircases. Having seen them everyday, worries developed at us and grew further for intensive loading requirement as the day was getting close.
Unfortunately, this is also a time for most graduate students in Japan to submit their thesis or finalize their research papers to get the international publication for the degree. But their sympathy and dedications to the victims has overcome their commitments for routine study and special research program. When students from Myanmar students association (Tokyo) have seen the situation, they showed how keen they were to join us with as much students as they can gather to help us in loading. Also, being the good friends of Myanmar students, foreign students form various research rooms and departments have showed their concerns no less than others and promised to show up in time. But the numbers of people were still out reach from the work load.
When the trucks came in the afternoon last monday, there were around 15 students including local and those from other universities. But more students joined in when the work was in progress. With the great help of our friends from Korea, Egypt, Malaysia, Iran, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China and Japan, half of the collections were managed to load on the trucks, which lined up one after another until the dark came. This made us possible to dispatch the first container from Japan on 2nd July to the effected area, and estimated to arrive Yangon port on 20th July.
The success of our charity collection owed a great deal to many individuals and organizations which are too numerous to mention. In several occasions during this one month period, every communities, NGOs and individuals have shown their serious concern to the relief effort with generous donations and noble assistance to us. In particular, the enthusiastic support and unprecedent help of International Rotary Club during the whole period is remarkable and unforgettable to all of us. Also without the continuous support of International house (Saitama University) and a great deal of contribution from Kyoei Co. Ltd in terms of time and materials, this activity would go only to a certain limit. The direct and indirect contributions of all Myanmar students in Japan were immensely helpful. Their valuable time, untiring strength, invaluable suggestions for improvement at various stages and comradeship have been a most important substance for us throughout the entire time and lead to the success of this activity.

ဆိုင္တမရဲ႕ ဒီစေန....
လြန္ခဲ႔တဲ႔ လ ကစျပီး ဒီကေန႕ အထိ အ၀တ္အထည္ ေတြ အလွဴခံခဲ႔တဲ႔ အခ်ိန္အတြင္းမွာ မွတ္မွတ္သားသားကို အလုပ္ရႈပ္ သြားတာကေတာ႔ မေန႕က (စေနေန႕) ပါဘဲ။ အ၀တ္အထည္ ေတြကို စေနေန႕ ေန႕လည္မွာ ထရပ္ကားေတြ နဲ႔ စင္းလံုးတိုက္ လာလွဴမယ္လို႕ ၾကိဳတင္ ဖုန္းဆက္ အေၾကာင္းထား တာက ေသာၾကာေန႕ အထိ volunteer (၃) ဖြဲ႕ဘဲ ရိွခဲ့တာပါ။ ဒါေပမဲ႔ မနက္ (၈) နာရီေလာက္ ကစျပီး ေတာ့ တျခား အလွဴရွင္ ေတြဆီကေန ဖုန္းေတြ ဆက္တိုက္ ဆိုသလိုဘဲ ၀င္လာပါေတာ႕တယ္။ အခုထြက္ လာျပီျဖစ္တဲ႔ အေၾကာင္း၊ ေနာက္ထပ္ နာရီ၀က္ အတြင္းမွာ ေက်ာင္းအေဆာင္ ကို ေရာက္လာမွာ ျဖစ္တဲ႔ အေၾကာင္း၊ အ၀တ္အစားေတြ ပံုးေတြနဲ႔ အေတာ္မ်ားမ်ား ပါတဲ႔ အတြက္ အေဆာင္မွာ ေစာင္႕ေနၾက ေစလိုတယ္ ဆိုတယ္တာ ေတြကို အေၾကာင္းၾကား လာၾကပါတယ္။

ကားေတြ အနည္းငယ္ ရွင္းသြားတဲ႔ ေန႕လည္ (၁) နာရီ ေလာက္မွာေတာ့ ပစၥည္းေတြက ေတာင္ပံုရာပံု ျဖစ္ေနျပီး၊ International House ကေပးထားတဲ႔ Family Room အခန္းလြတ္ (၂) ခုနဲ႔ Assembly Hall တစ္ခုလံုးလဲ ထားစရာ မရွိေတာ႔ ေလာက္ေအာင္ ျပည့္သြားပါေတာ႔တယ္။ အေဆာင္မွာ အခန္းလြတ္ေတြ ရွိေသးလား၊ မရွိေတာ႔ဘူးလား ကလည္းမေသခ်ာ၊ အားလံုးလည္း ၾကံရာမရၾကနဲ႕ ေနာက္ထပ္ တခန္းထပ္ေတာင္းဖို႕ အားယူေနတုန္း မွာဘဲ ျမန္မာေတြကို အင္မတန္ စာနာေနတဲ႔ Ihouse Staff ေတြက အေဆာင္ရဲ႕ ေနာက္ဆံုး အခန္းလြတ္ တစ္ခုကို သံုးဖို႕ ဖြင္႕ေပးလိုက္ တဲ႔အတြက္ ပစၥည္းထားမဲ႔ ေနရာ အခက္အခဲက ေျပလည္သြားခဲ႔ပါတယ္။ ဒါနဲ႔ ခဏနားၾကျပီး မၾကာခင္ အခ်ိန္မွာ ေနာက္ထပ္ လာေရာက္ လွဴဒန္းမဲ႔ Rotary အသင္းရဲ႕ Katsukabe Club က ဥကၠဌ နဲ႔ လူၾကီးေတြကို ထမင္းစားခန္း ထဲမွာ ဧည္႕ခံ စကားေျပာဖို႕ စားပြဲေတြ ကုလားထိုင္ေတြ ျပင္ရပါတယ္။ ေျပာထားတဲ႔ အခ်ိန္မွာဘဲ ေရာက္လာၾကျပီး ျပင္ဆင္ထားတဲ႔ အခန္းထဲမွာ ၄င္းတို႕ အဖြဲ႕ရဲ႕ အေၾကာင္း၊ လွဴဒန္းရတဲ႔ ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ စတာေတြကို ရွင္းလင္း ေျပာျပပါတယ္။ အဲလို ေျပာေနတဲ႔ အခ်ိန္တြင္းမွာ ဘဲ ေနာက္ထပ္ ကားေတြ ထပ္ေရာက္လာလို႕ မိန္းကေလးေတြ ဘဲခ်န္ထား ခဲ႔ျပီး က်န္တဲ႔လူ အကုန္ ပစၥည္းေတြ ေျပးခ်ရ ျပန္ပါတယ္။ အဲဒီအခ်ိန္ မွာဘဲ ဂြန္းမခရုိင္၊ နိဂတ၊ တကာစကီ စတဲ႔ ေနရာေတြ ကေန ထရပ္ကား အငယ္စားေတြ နဲ႔ထပ္ထပ္ျပီး ေရာက္လာ လို႕ အခန္းထဲမွာ က်န္ခဲ့တဲ႔ မိန္းကေလးေတြေရာ ဧည္႔သည္ေတြပါ အျပင္ထြက္ လာျပီး အားေပး လိုက္ရပါေတာ႔တယ္။ ျပီးေတာ႔ အျပင္မွာဘဲ ဘယ္ကိုပို႕ျပီး လွဴမလဲ၊ ဘယ္လို လွဴမလဲ၊ စတာေတြ ေမးျမန္းျပီး ျပန္သြား ၾကရပါတယ္။ သူတို႕လဲ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႕ ဒီမွာ လုပ္ေနတဲ႔ ပမာဏနဲ႔ အတိုင္းအတာ ကိုေတြ႕သြားျပီး လိုအပ္တာေတြ ကို ဆက္လက္ အကူအညီ ေပးသြားမယ္လို႕ ေျပာသြားပါတယ္။
ညေန (၅) နာရီ ေလာက္မွာ ကားေတြလာတာ ရပ္သြားလို႕ လဲနားဖို႕ရာ စိတ္ကူးဖို႕ ေတာင္ အခ်ိန္မရ လိုက္ၾကပါဘူး။ အခန္းေတြ ထဲမွာ ထားစရာ ပစၥည္းေတြက ဖရုိဖရဲနဲ႔ က်ပ္ေနလို႕ ျပန္စီရ ျပန္ပါတယ္။ ကြ်ပ္ကြ်ပ္အိတ္ေတြ၊ စကၠဴအိတ္ေတြ နဲ႔ ေရာက္လာတာေတြ ကို ကတ္ထူပံုးေတြ ထဲ ထည္႔ ဖို႕ ကလဲ ဦးစားေပး လုပ္ဖို႕ လိုလာပါတယ္။ ဒါနဲ႕ဘဲကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႕ (၃) ေယာက္ေလာက္က ေက်ာင္းနားတ၀ိုက္ က စတိုးဆိုင္ၾကီး ေတြမွာ ပံုးအလြတ္ ေတြ သြားေတာင္းဘို႕ လက္တြန္းလွည္း ေတြ နဲ႔ ခ်က္ျခင္းဘဲ ထြက္ရျပန္ပါတယ္။ အားလံုးစားဖို႕ ညေနစာ ခ်က္တဲ့ (၂) ေယာက္က လြဲျပီး က်န္ခဲ့တဲ႔ လူေတြအားလံုး လဲ ပစၥည္းေတြ ထားတဲ႔ အခန္းေတြထဲ ၀င္ျပီး အိတ္ထဲက အ၀တ္ေတြကို ကတ္ထူပံုးေတြ ထဲ ထည္႔ရပါေတာ႔တယ္။ အနီးအနားက ဆုိင္ေတြကေန ေတာင္းလို႕ ရလာတဲ႔ ပံုးေတြထဲကို တစ္ခါ ၀ိုင္းထည့္ လိုက္ၾကတာ ခဏနဲ႕ ျပတ္သြားျပီး၊ ထည္႕စရာေတြ က ေတာင္လိုပံု ေနေသးတာမို႕ အဖြဲ႕ေတြ ခြဲျပီး ခပ္ေ၀းေ၀းက စတိုးဆုိင္ေတြ နဲ႔ ေက်ာင္း၀င္း အတြင္းမွာ ေနာက္တစ္ခါ ကတ္ထူပံုး ရွာပံုေတာ္ ဖြင့္ရျပန္ပါတယ္။
ကတ္ထူပံုးခ်ပ္ ေတြတင္ထား တဲ႔ လက္တြန္းလွည္းၾကီးေတြနဲ႔ လမ္းပိတ္ျပီးသြားေန တဲ႔ ကြ်န္ေတာ္တို႕ဟာ စိတ္မရွည္တဲ႔ စက္ဘီးေပၚက ဂ်ပန္မေတြရဲ႕ ဘုရွိတ္ ရွိတ္သြား တာေတြကိုလည္း လမ္းတေလ်ာက္လံုး မၾကာခဏ ၾကံဳခဲ႔ရပါေသးတယ္။ ဒါေတြကို လ်စ္လ်ဴရႈျပီး အားၾကိဳးမာန္တက္ တြန္းလာလုိက္တာ ျပန္ေရာက္ေတာ႕ (၈) နာရီ ထိုးခါနီး ေနပါျပီ။ အထုတ္ေတြျဖည္ ပံုးေတြထဲ ဆက္ထည့္နဲ႔ (၈) နာရီ ခြဲေလာက္မွာ ထမင္းခ်က္တဲ႔ အဖြဲ႔က စားလို႕ ရျပီလို႕ လာေျပာေတာ့ လုပ္လက္စ ခဏရပ္ျပီး ခ်က္ထားတဲ႔ နန္းၾကီးသုတ္ နဲ႕ အုန္းႏို္႕ ေခါက္ဆြဲဟင္းရည္ ကို ၀ိုင္းျပီး အားေပးလိုက္တာ ေလာက္ေတာင္ မေလာက္ပါဘူး။ ျပီးတာနဲ႔ ေခါက္ဆြဲျပား ေတာင္ သိပ္မစီ လိုက္ရဘဲ ဆက္လုပ္ လိုက္ၾကတာ ည (၁၀) နာရီခြဲ ေလာက္မွာ ျပီးသေလာက္ရွိ သြားျပီး၊ (၁၁) နာရီေလာက္မွာ လက္စ သတ္ႏိုင္ ခဲ့ၾကပါတယ္။ အ၀တ္ေတြ အားလံုးလည္း ပံုးေတြထဲ ေရာက္သြားသလို ေသေသခ်ာခ်ာ ထပ္ျပီးစီလိုက္ေတာ႔ ေနရာေတြ ထြက္လာပါတယ္။ ဒီေတာ႔မွ ေနာက္ထပ္ ေရာက္လာႏုိင္တဲ႔ ပမာဏ အတြက္ နည္းနည္းေလး စိတ္ေအး သြားႏုိင္ခဲ့ၾကပါတယ္။ ညကလဲနက္ေန၊ အားလံုးလဲ အေတာ္ေလးကို ပင္ပန္း ေနၾကလို႕ ေရွ႕ဆက္လုပ္ ရမွာေတြကို အတိုခ်ဳပ္ေဆြးေႏြးျပီး လူစုခြဲလိုက္ေတာ႕ ေတာင္မွ တနဂၤေႏြေန႕ ထဲအထိ ေရာက္သြားခဲ႔ ပါေသးတယ္။
